Boise made it four straight and moved to within a game of first as OF Rashad Crawford knocked in three runs for the third straight night. Michael Heesch earned the win in his AAA debut, tossing 3.1 scoreless innings as the I-Cubs won in 14 innings on a Logan Watkins homer. Daytona split a twin-bill and Kane County fell to the River Bandits.

Alcantara makes MLB debut Arismendy Alcantara made his MLB debut on Wednesday night as the 22-year-old Dominican started at second base for the Cubs in Cincinnati. He went 0-4 with two strikeouts but did make some fine defensive plays. He’s expected to play one more game and then return to Iowa when Darwin Barney is taken off the paternity list.
