SNEAK PEEK: LAWRENCE CENTRAL

Defending state champions looking to get it together

Last season Lawrence Central captured the 5A title. The Bears lost head Coach Jayson West has moved to Warren Central. To make matters more fun is former Warren Head Coach Steve Tutsie is now on the Lawrence Central staff.

The Bears started off the season 3-0 but have now lost five straight games. Lawrence Central like Pike has made the move into the Metropolitan Conference. Losses to Carmel, Center Grove, Ben Davis ,St Ignatius and Warren Central. A rematch with Warren Central in their sectional opener awaits.

Receiver Kenny Jones leads the Bears offense. He has several big time offers. Linebacker Brandon Lee is deciding between offers from coast to coast. Look out for talented junior linebacker Darrin Kirkland and receiver Glenn Calvin.
