2008 Season
Daley opened the season with four relief appearances for Palm Beach, but
after walking four and hitting five batters in 2.2 innings was sent to extended spring
training. He resurfaced in the Gulf Coast League later in the year, but struggled with
his control. In 17 appearances in the GCL, Daley managed a 24.39 ERA in just 10.1
innings while issuing 32 walks, throwing 19 wild pitches and hitting nine batters.
Career Notes
In 2006, Daley made 15 appearances, 14 of which were starts, for short-season Class A State College. He was 5-6 with a 3.28 ERA, allowing 76 hits, striking out 64 and walking 32 in 74 innings. His 3.28 ERA ranked 6th-lowest among qualifying Cardinals minor league pitchers.
Daley played his college ball at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he put together a 16-11 record and 5.21 ERA in three seasons. Daley racked up 200 strikeouts and walked 118 batters over 231.1 innings.
