| A first-round draft pick out of LSU by Baltimore in 2001, Fontenot spent his first full season in the major leagues with Chicago in 2008, batting .305 with nine home runs, 22 doubles and 40 RBI in 119 games. He batted .360 (36-for-100) after the All-Star break, seeing playing time primarily at second base. |
