| A three-time National League All-Star, Zambrano is in his ninth season at the big league level after making his major league debut in 2001. In 2008, he combined for 14 wins and a 3.91 ERA in 30 starts spanning 188 2/3 innings. He struck out 130 batters and walked 72. Zambrano also etched his name into the record books on Sept. 14 against Houston by throwing the 13th no-hitter in franchise history and the first for the Cubs since 1972. |
