| 1999 graduate of Bexley (OH) High School where finished his career with a record 28 home runs...named All-State twice and All-Conference four times...attended Ohio State, where he holds the freshman home run record (14)...Academic All-Big 10, Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American, Big 10 Freshman of the Year and first-team All-Big 10 in 2001...led team in batting (.386), hits (81) and home runs (12) and was second-team All-Big 10 in 2002.
2006: Was second in league in doubles and OBP and fourth in XBH (52)...2005: Hit .346 (9-26) with 4 runs, 2 doubles, 1 hr, and 6 rbi as Twins’ Minor League Player of the Week, 6/3-9...played in Eastern League All-Star game...was third in league in hits, fifth in batting, and fifth in doubles...was third among Twins’ minor leaguers in batting and rbi...2004: Hit .359 (28-78) during 19-game hit-streak, June 8-July 1...led Ft.
