| Selected by New York Yankees in 43rd round of 2003 draft (scout: Steve Lerake) ... Traded to Cubs in August, 2005, in exchange for OF Matt Lawton ... Appeared in 15 games for Class A Staten Island in 2005, going 6-2 with a 3.53 ERA in 58 2/3 innings ... In his first full season with the Cubs in 2006, the right-hander made 24 starts at Class A Daytona and was 7-7 with a 4.38 ERA while logging 115 innings, striking out 82 and walking 53 ... Made 26 starts in 2007 with Class AA Tennessee and finished the year 7-7 with 4.95 ERA while logging 140 innings. |
