| DeRosa was signed by the Cubs to a 3-year, $13 million contract in November, 2006. He had his best season with the Texas Rangers in '06, batting .296 in 136 games and hitting a career-high 40 doubles and 13 home runs. He also drove in a career-best 74 runs. |
