| The Cubs' first-round draft pick in 2005 posted a 2.72 ERA and .170 average against in 14 starts with the Mesa Cubs before being promoted to Class-A Boise following Arizona League play. He struck out 56 and walked 21 in 43 innings, all the while allowing 25 hits. He threw 13 wild pitches and allowed zero home runs. |
