Cherry made only three starts last season at Double-A before undergoing Tommy John surgery and missing the remainder of the year ... He worked hard to rehab his elbow and was ready to pitch by Opening Night in the minor leagues to open 2006 back at Double-A ... Enters 2006 with a career 12-12 record and 4.02 ERA in 48 games, including 39 starts in 217 1/3 innings. |
