Good Bye Kane County, South Bend bound

The Chicago Cubs have announced they are leaving Kane County and Fifth Third Bank ballpark and switching their Midwest League home to South Bend. The deal runs through 2018.

Kane County put the finishing touch on a historic season with a 7-2 win over Lake County to clinch the 2014 Midwest League championship. Jacob Rogers led the offense with three hits and three RBI, including a two-run homer.

Duane Underwood no-hit Lake County for six innings and fanned eight while Shawon Dunston fueled the offense with three runs, two hits, a RBI, and two stolen bases as Kane County won 6-0 to move within a victory of the MWL crown.
