Burke Thriving with New Confidence, Approach


Legendary Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi once said that confidence is contagious. For outfielder Kyler Burke, his confidence level is through the roof following a monstrous 2009 season at Class-A Peoria.

Burke, who turns 22 April 20, had two less than memorable seasons in the Chicago Cubs' farm system before figuring some things out a year ago at Peoria, where he batted .303 with a career-high 15 home runs, 43 doubles and a .405 on-base percentage.
