Boise Hawks first-baseman Rebel Ridling was named Northwest League Player of the Week, as announced earlier today by Minor League Baseball Advanced Media.

The 2008 draft pick out of Oklahoma State had a banner week (June 23-29) for the Hawks, hitting .458 (11-for-24) with a home run, seven doubles, and eight RBI.

Ridling, from Sentinel, Okla., hit safely in all six games he played, including a two-double performance in the Hawks 4-3 win at Everett last Wednesday.

For the season, Ridling leads the NWL in doubles (8), is second in RBI (15), is third in slugging percentage (.653), and is fifth in batting average (.367).
