Colvin, 22, batted .299 with 35 doubles, 16 home runs and 81 RBIs in 125 games between Class High A Daytona and Class AA Tennessee this past season.
The Cubs selected the outfielder with their first-round pick (13th overall) from Clemson University in 2006.
Colvin agreed to participate for Team USA in late August.
“I think it’s going to be a very good experience for me,” Colvin told InsideTheIvy.com back in August. “It’s just a good experience for me to go out there and get more experience and playing time in the off-season.”
The USA team will be managed by Davey Johnson.
