Minor League Camp Photos: Last Look

Sunday was the official last day of Minor League Spring Training for Cubs prospects. Those who survived the annual end-of-camp flurry of releases will either board a plane early this week en route to one of the club's four full-season roster affiliates or stay behind for Extended Spring Training.

Cubs prospects closed spring camp on Sunday with a set of exhibition games against prospects from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

While the official rosters for all four of the Cubs full-season affiliates have yet to be officially announced by the clubs, there are already one or two official (and "unofficially official") moves to announce.

Over the weekend, Class A Daytona announced that highly touted Cubs pitching prospect Jeff Samardzija would begin 2007 in the Florida State League. Additionally, 2006 first-round draft pick Tyler Colvin was on the most recent tentative Daytona roster sent to the club last week.

Official minor league rosters will be announced some time either Monday or Tuesday of this week.

With Minor League Spring Training officially over, here is a final look at photos from Cubs camp at Fitch Park in Mesa this spring.

He also drew 27 walks and struck out in 32 at-bats, batting .289 in 74 games.
