With his ailing bat failing and the Class-A Peoria Chiefs looking for more production at the hot corner, 24-year-old Brandon Taylor was approached by the Cubs about trying his hand at somewhat of a new position: pitcher. Never one to hold his tongue, last year's 17th-round draft pick from BYU told the organization exactly what he thought of their idea.

The idea of converting solely to pitcher was never one that Taylor, who garnered some innings in his high school days, was overly ready to embrace.
