(Montgomery, AL) May 15th- West Tenn Diamond Jaxx OF Luis Montanez was named the BC Powder Southern League Hitter of the Week today.

Montanez had sixteen hits in thirty at-bats (.533) with five doubles, a homer and ten RBI's for the week of May 8-14. He had a .548 on-base percentage, a slugging percentage of .800 and at least three hits in four of the seven games played.

Montanez is currently leading the Southern League with a .368 batting average and a .441 on-base percentage. He is also second in the league with forty-nine hits.
