Cubs April 11 Minor League Recap

Stephen Bruno delivers walk-off for Smokies.

Corey Black tossed five no-hit innings, Dustin Geiger launched his third homer, but Tennessee needed a walk-off single by Stephen Bruno for the 6-5 win. Yasiel Balaguert extended his hit streak to six games and added two RBI to his league-leading total as Kane County defeated Lake County 6-4. Daytona's woes continued at Tampa and Iowa lost at Memphis 7-5.

AAA—Memphis 7, Iowa 5 Memphis (6-3) scored in five straight innings to take the opening game of the series over Iowa (4-5). At the Dish: Chris Valaika had a big day, going 2-3 with his first homer, a three-run shot in the sixth to cut the lead to 6-5.
