Justin Henry’s RBI single capped a three-run top of the tenth for Toledo, which held on for the win. Henry went 1-for-5. Adam Wilk gave up three hits over seven scoreless innings in the start. But Chris Bootcheck allowed an unearned run in the bottom of the ninth to blow the save. Bootcheck ended up with the win, while Luis Marte pitched a perfect 10th for the save. John Lindsey went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, while Argenis Diaz went 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Drew VerHagen pitched 3 2/3 innings in the start, allowing the one hit and two walks. For Lakeland, four hits and three walks resulted in seven runners left on base. Luis Castillo went 1-for-4, while James Robbins went 1-for-3.

In the second game, the Flying Tigers scored three in the top of the ninth and held on for the victory. Alex Burgos allowed three earned runs over six innings, but Tyler Clark picked up the win after two scoreless innings of relief. Victor Larez picked up his first save of the year. Eugenio Suarez hit a two-out single in the bottom of the 10th to cap a two-run inning and comeback win. Suarez went 4-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs and two runs scored. Peoria had scored one in the top of the 10th, but two errors helped the Whitecaps tie the game before Suarez won it. Jeff Ferrell allowed five runs (four earned) over 3 2/3 innings in the start. Michael Torrealba picked up the win. Chad Wright went 2-for-6 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored.
