Triple-A -- Iowa Cubs
Pitching Pushes Iowa Past Nashville Iowa: 7, Nashville: 1
Frankie De La Cruz (W, 1-1) allowed just one earned run in five innings of work, then Manuel Corpas and Blake Parker finished the final four innings, allowing just three hits and no runs. Iowa earned a 7-1 victory over the Nashville Sound.
Iowa third baseman Adrian Cardenas led the charge for Iowa, posting two hits and four RBIs. Anthony Rizzo also chipped in with a pair of RBIs. Nashville scored its only run in the first inning, but the Cubs responded in the bottom half of the inning on Cardena's two-out, three-run double.

Double-A -- Tennessee Smokies
Jackson Tops Tennessee Jackson: 7, Tennessee: 2
Nicholas Struck (L, 2-2) surrendered seven runs -- four earned -- the the Smokies' bats were silenced by the Generals' James Paxton and Steven Hensley. Jackson edged Tennessee, 7-2.
Tennessee's Justin Bour tallied the lone RBI for the Smokies, a seventh-inning solo home run, his second of the season. Only four other Smokies recorded a hit against the stealth pitching of the Generals.

High-A -- Daytona Cubs
Cubs Edged By Clearwater In 10 Innings Clearwater: 5, Daytona: 3 (F-10)
Anthony Hewitt hit a walk-off two-run home run in the tenth inning, sinking Daytona, 5-3. Joseph Zeller surrendered the game-tying run in the ninth inning, his third inning of work. Ty'Relle Harris (L, 2-1) was dominant in relief during the ninth inning, striking out three batters, but was tagged with the loss after allowing the home run the following inning.
Matthew Szczur, Ronald Torreyes and Nelson Perez knocked in Daytona's three RBIs. Perez hit his third home run of the season in the second inning. Daytona was hampered by three errors and left nine runners on base in the loss.

Low-A -- Peoria Chiefs
Captains Walk Off In 11 Lake County: 7, Peoria: 6
Peoria won on a walk-off grand slam in Tuesday's exciting contest. On Thursday, it was Lake County which celebrated a thrilling victory. The Captains' Jerrud Sabourin hit a sacrifice fly to right field, scoring Jordan Casas, earning Lake County a 7-6 win. Austin Reed (L, 0-1) was tagged with the loss.
Peoria shortstop Wes Darvill hit his first professional home run, a two-run third-inning shot. Lake County scored the game-tying run in the ninth inning, coming off Jeffrey Lorick, who was charged with a blown save.
