The Cubs have lost their two most experienced players to the disabled list. One day after Kerry Wood was put on the shelf, starter Ryan Dempster joined him.
Dempster, who has a 1.33 ERA in three starts this season, has a strained right quadriceps. The Cubs recalled outfielder Tony Campana in conjunction with the move.
Randy Wells has also joined the Cubs at Wrigley Field, according to multiple reports, though has not been officially called up to the team. Wells is expected to start on Sunday, once a move is made.
